STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS HAS SUPPORTED GROWTH OF, AND PRIDE IN, LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSING

Initiative

Chris facilitated of development of a strategic brand for the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta in 2008, including a new visual identity. Chris subsequently refreshed the direction of a CLPNA newsletter, re-naming it CARE Magazine and converting it to full-colour, print production. It’s mission is to Explore The Practical and Emotional Realities of Healthcare – to let people into the inner workings of the healthcare system while featuring the advancing role of the LPN within the system. With more than 16,000 copies printed quarterly, the magazine remains the only medical professional association magazine in Canada. Since 2008, Chris has written 24 feature stories (53000 words and 105 pages) for CARE magazine. Talk to a nurse for 5 minutes and you will realize why Chris feels it’s the most satisfying and important work he has done in his career. Chris continues to work with the CLPNA and will until they tell him he can’t anymore!

Results

Strategic storytelling has reached hundreds of thousands of people, and has advanced the cause of the profession.

WE – the people – look for skilled and caring connection to shepherd our way forward through our uncertainty. And in my experience, YOU – the people’s nurses – are the most powerful people in healthcare as the bridge between the emotional and practical realities of healthcare.”
